Floating the Rogue by inner tube

Belinda S. Colley | Gold Hill, Oregon to Rogue River, Oregon

Back in the early and mid-70’s, before people had “sense”, my crazy mother used to let my sister and I float down the Rogue River from Gold Hill, Oregon to Rogue River, Oregon. No life vests, no real rafts, just inner tubes. We would float to a friends house and her mother would have a huge lunch waiting for us. Then my Mom would come pick us up and drive us home. CRAZY, right? It was really fun, though!
