Hudson River

Jean Siegel | Washington Heights, upper Manhattan

As a child I grew up in upper Manhattan. Our neighborhood was surrounded by the beautiful and historic Hudson River. Growing up I spent many days enjoying the beauty of the sweeping lawns that surround the river. Many of my childhood friends shared many picnics, outings, walks along the beautiful Hudson. Every morning I would look out of my bedroom window and see the awesome river graced by the George Washington Bridge… I will always treasure the rivers’ beauty. When my Husband and I married we moved to Orange County, N.Y. Once again we were surrounded by our Hudson River. The mighty Hudson played such an important role in the days of our early history of the Revolutionary War. I feel so blessed that I was so fortunate to lived at the banks of my favorite river.
