My boyfriend, David, and I ran 83 miles of the San Juan River on our Craigslist canoe. Being late fall, we had most of the journey to ourselves, but still met some wonderful souls along the way. This photo is of David looking upstream at 8 Mile Rapid. We may have taken on a bit of water, but what a rush it was navegating those boulders! The San Juan certainly holds some magic.
