A week at the bottom of the Grand Canyon: Every canyon tributary to the Great Colorado River was a story of its own. The Little Colorado ran pastel blue because of dissolved carbon. There were many of them and each was completely unique and characteristic. Looking down on the Colorado, one has no idea the richness and diversity of its tributaries.
