Paddling The Pack

Chuck Smith | Pack River in Northern Bonner County, Idaho

For a number of year, during High Water Time in the Spring, we would get Our Good Friends together and float down Our Pack river that slashes across a good part of Our County and We would only occasionally see signs of Man, like Bridges and Homes, but because The River has a wide flood plain, most Home are some distance from The River. So for good chunks of Our Float Trip, We feel like We have gone back in time to Time Primeval and We just enjoy the sights and sounds of The Wonders Of Nature! Floating past Beautiful Tall Grasses, Wild Flowers and coming around a bend in The River and seeing and hearing some Ducks or Geese fly away while making their distinctive sounds! The Whole Experence just seems to Recharge The Soul! The River kind of washes away the petty thoughts in Our Minds and leaves Us Refreshed! It’s like We have been washed by The River! And We come Home with some Great New Memories and Stories to share!
